What are French Macarons?
French macarons are sweet meringue cookies made with almond flour, egg whites, and sugar sandwiched between a buttercream, ganache, or jam filling. They have a soft, chewy texture and a slight crunch when you bite into them. They’re commonly confused with macaroons, coconut based cookies. Their smooth tops and ruffled “feet” give them their signature look.
How long do they last?
Our macarons will last up to a week if they’re in a sealed, airtight container in the fridge, but they taste best on the day they’re purchased. They’ll last up to 2 weeks in the freezer, but we recommend removing them 30 minutes before consuming so that they reach room temperature.
Are they gluten free?
Most of our macarons are not made with gluten (although a select few are), however, we do process our cookies on shared equipment, so we can’t guarantee that any of our sweets are 100% allergen free.
Do they contain nuts?
All of our macarons are made with almond flour and some of our macarons include hazelnuts or coconuts. We use shared equipment to bake, prepare, and store our macarons, so if you have a nut allergy, we recommend you refrain from eating our macarons.
